Meet our chef

Our warm and welcoming staff embody the genuine hospitality and warmth of the Greek culture. So, you can be sure that every moment spent at Black Rock Restaurant under the twinkling Santorinian night sky is a memory in the making.

Awarded chef Ioannis Fyntanis, born and raised in Thessaloniki, discovered his passion for cooking from a young age and this passion became his life. Rich background in fine dining cuisines in awarded restaurants and hotels both in Greece and abroad with worth mentioning restaurants, such as ”Domestic” 1* Michelin restaurant in Denmark, in Saint Barthelemy in the Caribbean islands and in Cannes, French Riviera. Besides being an instructor in a culinary school and providing specialized cooking seminars, he also ensures fine dining experiences to our Black Rock restaurant’s guests.
